Q. What experience does Mayfair Construction have?

A. We specialise in all forms of refurbishment and building. Our tradesmen have been doing loft conversions and extensions, painting and decorating, bathroom fitting, kitchen fitting, driveways, patios and swimming pools. We are experienced in new build housing and day to day maintenance.

Q. What sort of disruption should I expect on a major build?

A. The disruption will of course depend upon the type of project we are instructed to carry out. Any disruption to the householder is kept to a minimum. For the initial part of a loft conversion or rear extension, for example, we will not need to gain access to your house. All entry and exit will be through the roof via the scaffold. We will strive to access your house when absolutely necessary.

Q. Are you insured to carry out work on my premises?

A. Yes, we have full liability insurance up to £2million to cover us for all works undertaken.

Q. How can I tell if I can convert my loft or do an extension?

A. We will visit you at your home FREE OF CHARGE to offer our advice and there we will be able to advise what can and can't be done.

Q. Can I get references for completed loft conversions, extensions or refurbishment?

A. Yes, once we have done the initial estimate we will also provide ample references should you request it.

Q. What about Planning Permission and Building Regulations?

A. Some conversions and extensions require Planning Permission and all have to adhere to Building Regulations. We can provide architectural service which will include the preparation and submission of Plans to your local authority, our architects will serve the appropriate notices and liaise with the authorities on your behalf.

Q. Do you handle plumbing and electrical works?

A. Yes we handle everything with our own teams of experienced tradesmen. We will provide all relevant and legally required certificates. Our gas installers are approved Corgi engineers for our plumbing work and our NICEIC part P testing engineer for electrical work.

Q. How long will it take to do a loft conversion?

A. This depends upon the type and size of your conversion and the interior works you choose to have done. However, we endeavour to complete building work within 4-6 weeks.

Q. How do I pay for my projects?

A. We accept an initial deposit followed by stage payments and the balance to be paid when you are totally satisfied with your project completion.

Q. Can you help with arranging finance?

A. Yes – details available at the free quotation visit. We can provide 0% finance on all driveways and patios.

Q. Can you project manage Refurbishments, Loft Conversions, Interior Design projects etc. from start to finish?

A. Yes, we provide project management for all of our services and we ensure that one man will oversee every part of that job (Refurbishment, Conversions, Interior Design project etc.) until the completion date, making it stress free for the client.

Q. Can you supply guarantees for your work especially on New Builds?

A. Yes, we are a NHBC Warranted Builder and all New Builds benefit from the NHBC 10 Year Warranty.
